WIND ON LORD HOWE

Over the months of June - September Lord Howe is notorious for windy conditions. The 7km long lagoon is ideal for slalom with the outer reef perfect for wave riding. Over the summer months lord Howe is bustling with tourism however, over the winter months the Island comes to a stand still, leaving a perfect opportunity for surfers to come and make the most of the windy conditions on the Island
WHY LORD HOWE
Less than a 2 hour flight to get there, No passports, Visas, traffic or hassles. A maximum limit of only 400 visitors are allowed on the Island at any one time which makes Lord Howe a brilliant destination for a quiet getaway. Lord Howe is World Heritage listed and a NSW Marine Park, the Island as a whole has been very heavily protected from development so you won't find any big resorts or high rises, you won't even find a traffic light. But most of all there is no mobile phone reception so you can leave your hassles at home. Lord Howe is a very safe destination to bring the family with plenty for them to do while you are out sailing.

WATER TEMPERATURES
Over the winter months the water temp is generally 17-19 degrees
