I authorise Lord Howe Windsports to deduct $............ from my credit card and hold as a deposit. These funds will be refunded to me upon return of the hired gear above subject to any damages caused. I understand that I am responsible for the cost to repair or replace any gear hired by myself from Lord Howe Windsports. The cost of repair or replacement of gear is at the sole discretion of Lord Howe Windsports.

Lord Howe Windsports retain the right to refuse hire of equipment to any persons and terminate a hire contract for any reason included but not limited to misuse of rental equipment or adverse weather conditions

I understand that this rental agreement is between Lord Howe Windsports and myself. I am not authorised to share this equipment with any other persons without prior arrangement with Lord Howe Windsports

I understand that I am hiring Windsurfing gear from Lord Howe windsports and there will be no supervision for any activities that I carry out whilst using the rental equipment specified above.

I am satisfied with the safety briefing given to me by Lord Howe Windsports and I agree to adhere to LHI Windsports regulations including but not limited to keeping a safe distance to all snorkelers and snorkel vessels. I am aware of the designated swimming and snorkelling zones within the lagoon area.

Regulations of Hire & Safety Brief

Prior to gear hire all sailors must be competent swimmers and an experienced sailor. No equipment will be hired to a sailor without a minimum of 1 year experience unless deemed capable by Lord Howe Windsports.

In order to be deemed competent the Sailor must demonstrate gear set up, up haul a sail, water start, tack and demonstrate a capability of controlling a windsurfer at speed.

Lord Howe windsports reserve the right to restrict sailors to sailing only within the lagoon. Sailors will be advised if this is the case.

 A distance of 30meters must be kept from any snorkeler or vessel inside the Islands lagoon.

Windsurfers must keep well away from the Escorts Hole and Comets Hole area at all times if any vessels are in those designated areas. A minimum distance of 30meters is required.

For the safety of windsurfers a distance of 5 meters must be kept from any moorings, moored boats or structures in or on the water.

Sailors must be aware of the tidal movements during their period of hire.

Sailors must consider the wind conditions including the direction prior to sailing.

Sailors must consider if the wind conditions and directions are suitable for their experience levels prior to commencing a sail.

Sailors must not windsurf prior to sunrise or after sunset on any day.

All Gear hired from Lord Howe Windsports is for use on flat water, wave riding is prohibited
